Alexander Landscaping & Plant Farm is a family owned and operated business in Davie, Florida. The Tozzie Family - Bryan & Luana, and their daughters Alyssa, Amber, & Abigail - started the business in 1981, when Broward County was still a sleepy farming community.
Bryan Tozzie has a BS in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Florida. He creates sustainable landscape and garden designs to suit the client's locational requirements and taste. We promote native, natural landscapes that feed and attract butterflies and wildlife. These types of landscapes require minimal effort to maintain and are conducive to our South Florida climate. Please go to our landscaping designs page to see some examples he has created.
Nursery manager Alet Titus has many years of experience and expertise in native and wildlife gardening, as well as with tropical plants too. All of our nursery's friendly and knowledgeable staff are always ready to help and educate our customers and the public.
Our Philosophy
Our mission is to help you create an environment that is both pleasing to the eye and ecologically sound. We believe in the use of native and appropriate non-invasive native plants in the landscape for beauty and practicality. Also, we promote and use natural pest control methods to lower and reduce the toxins emitted on the plants and environment. Maintaining a pesticide free environment is important to us and all pollinators that contribute to our food supply.

The Importance of Native Plants for Our Ecosystem
Native plants benefit people and the world around them. South Florida's unique micro-environment can be harsh to living things. Spring drought and summer floods, coupled with poor soil and extreme heat make it difficult to grow many exotic plants. For thousands of years native plants have been evolving to deal with these conditions. Native groundcover, shrubs, vines, trees and palms can add great beauty to the landscape while reducing the required water, fertilizer and maintenance. Plant natives to attract wildlife, such as birds and butterflies.
